Who built it
Trackd was founded by Clarke Andrews, who spent 10 years working across UK rail and rolling stock — on the tools, in the depots and out on the trackside. Ten years of PTS medicals, OLEC renewals, night possessions, coded welding tickets, depot shifts and last-minute callouts.
Why it was built
Every recruitment platform out there is built for everyone — which means it's built for no one in particular. Generic keyword search on LinkedIn misses the point of what a rail contractor actually is. Indeed treats a rolling stock technician the same as a warehouse operative. Agencies waste hours scrolling CVs that don't hold the right tickets. Contractors miss weeks of work because nobody knew they were free.
Trackd was built out of that frustration — the frustration of watching a safety-critical, technical workforce be served by tools built for everything else.
What makes it different
